Lynn Gavit Memorial Marsh Bird Habitat

Donated by the family of Lynn Gavit in memorial of his love of the outdoors, a bird habitat exhibit is located in the Civic Center foyer. Displaying over 15 species of bird in a native habitat of the area.

Leonabell Turnbull Birding Center

The Birding Center is located at the end of Ross Avenue and includes an ADA accessible boardwalk, observation tower, interpretive signage, butterfly garden and native plant garden.Keep your eyes open for the resident American Alligators, Boots and Bags.

Port Aransas Wetland Park

The Wetland Center lies on a natural tidal flat located just west of State Highway 361. Amenities include a boardwalk, observation area, and interpretive signage. All areas of the boardwalk and observation area are ADA accessible. Observe wading and shorebirds as the water level changes with coastal rains.

Scott & Joan Holt Paradise Pond Birding Habitat

Paradise Pond is a unique freshwater pond, attracting a number of migratory bird species.  Recently constructed amenities include a parking area, ADA accessible boardwalks, observation decks, a butterfly garden and educational signage.
